Hazy summer evening on Cromer Beach was created during my first visit to Cromer in 2024. It was indeed a very special day and beautiful evening, and I immediately regretted not visiting earlier in the year. After a long, hot day of painting around town, I headed to the beach for a swim before I headed home. However, as I lay there drying off and thoroughly satisfied with my days work, I simply had to get back to the car and return with my ease to capture this scene. Sometimes there is a haze that envelopes a landscape, and I can’t help but try to capture it in oil paint. By keeping my colours clean and harmonious throughout, I believe I managed it.
