Chinatown, London is an original oil painting by Nick Grove.
I know this area of London very well. In fact, Chinatown, or specifically, where it meets Shaftesbury Avenue, is where I met my now wife. And the restaurant in front is my family’s preferred venue for Dum Sum whenever we are visiting London. Directly behind me is also the best Chinese bakery in all of Chinatown. This area has changed a lot since I began coming here over 20 years ago. I would suggest that it is twice the size that it was then. It’s also got so many more places to eat now and one of the best places in all of London to get lunch. Chinatown is one of my favourite areas in London and a great place to watch a thriving cosmopolitan city in action. I love it! And what a feast for the painter to get his teeth into. It’s not often that you get to fill your pallet with red!
