It was by accident that I found this view. I had laid down in the centre of Leicester Square to get a few moments shut eye, as it had been a very early start painting in the capital. The sun was out now, and numerous people were lying on the grass in the sun. I was wearing all my gear as there had been showers earlier on, so I was comfy and warm. My painting bag served as an excellent pillow. Waking moments later, I sat up and realised the significance of the scene before me. Something about William Shakespeare and Mr. Bean seemingly in conversation with each other amused me. Getting out just a small board to focus the attention to these two characters, I set up on the grass and painted from ground position.
