LONDON PRINTS COLLECTION
London has always been a source of inspiration for me.
In the early years, when I was learning to paint from life, I regularly travelled into the city with my easel, paint box and trolley, determined to improve my craft through direct observation. Some of the locations were familiar places I remembered from my younger years living in London. Others I discovered simply by wandering the streets in search of something that caught my eye.

Learning to paint on the streets of London. I painted at first light and late into the evening. I stayed in inexpensive hotels, drank strong coffee in the mornings, and spent countless hours standing on street corners, bridges and pavements, trying to understand the effects of light, atmosphere and architecture. Along the way I encountered people from every walk of life and, in many ways, found myself on the streets of London.
Even today, every visit reveals new paintings waiting to be found. The city is endlessly fascinating—full of energy, diversity, history and life. For me, it remains the greatest city in the world to paint.
This collection brings together twelve paintings from those years, selected to represent the twelve months of the year. Together they form a visual journey through the city and through the seasons, reflecting the changing light, atmosphere and character of London across the year.
Each print is hand-signed and numbered by the artist, produced using museum-quality archival materials, and released in a strictly limited edition of 100.
Created from original oil paintings painted directly from life by Nick Grove RSMA.
