My painting of my wife Julie in my new Stamford studio has made it into this year’s Green and Stone Summer Exhibition at the Gallery Green and Stone. It’s the first time I have entered this open exhibition, and I am very pleased that an interior or portrait has made it through the selection process. Find The Gallery at Green and Stone on Fulham Road, Chelsea. The exhibition runs from the 30th of July until the 30th of August.

The Gallery at Green And Stone

Green & Stone, an internationally acclaimed art shop, launched its gallery in 2018. Since then, the gallery has held two annual open calls to discover and showcase emerging talent. The highlight of the Summer Exhibition is the first prize: a fully funded solo show. Notable past winners have all experienced significant career growth after exhibiting there.

The Gallery prides itself on being the starting point for many artists’ journeys toward success. It focuses on emerging artists with remarkable talent and potential, featuring unique, contemporary, and affordable artwork. The growing community around the gallery is a testament to the effectiveness of its model. The Gallery aims to create a space that serves as a vital resource for artists, collectors, and the broader artistic community.

Since its inception, the Summer Exhibition has grown significantly, now offering over £20,000 in prizes. The selection process, conducted anonymously, is guided solely by the quality of the submissions and is overseen by a rotating panel of esteemed judges. The event kicks off with a Private View, a lively opening night that extends into the street. The event provides an excellent networking opportunity for artists, curators, collectors, and art enthusiasts. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The Gallery is thrilled to announce its expansion, adding a new room to the Summer Exhibition. This addition will accommodate 40 to 50 more artworks. Additionally, the Gallery is excited to present the Young Artist Award, a £3,000 cash prize generously sponsored by the de Laszlo Foundation for the third consecutive year.
