This work begins with direct observation—light, structure, and atmosphere held in balance. In urban scenes, the challenge is to keep the architecture solid while letting the atmosphere stay open and lived-in.
What mattered here was the rhythm of the forms and the way the light organised the whole scene. The composition was chosen to emphasise depth and direction, letting the eye travel naturally through the scene.
