An honest response to the scene, painted from life with an emphasis on clarity and mood. The focus is on truthful relationships—value, colour, and the quiet drama of ordinary surroundings.
The aim was to keep it simple: strong shapes, believable light, and the feeling of being present. The composition was chosen to emphasise depth and direction, letting the eye travel naturally through the scene.
It carries the calm satisfaction of something observed carefully and translated honestly.
