Drawings

Drawing is the bedrock upon which everything I do is built.

It is where I learn to see — not through assumption or habit, but through careful observation. Every line is a search for proportion, structure, and an undeniable truth.

Working from life, the human form offers no shortcuts. It demands patience, sensitivity, and a willingness to look again. In a world that often favours speed and what lies on the surface, drawing remains a slower, more deliberate pursuit — one that resists simplification.

These works are not studies in the traditional sense, but complete expressions in their own right. They carry the same intent as my paintings: to hold an experience with honesty and clarity.

The value lies not in perfection, but in the continual refinement of seeing — a process of understanding that deepens over time.
